I can hardly contain my excitement! I’m thrilled to share an exclusive look at my living room makeover for Home Depot’s 2017 Holiday Style Challenge. This is my second style challenge with The Home Depot. If you missed my balcony makeover you can check it out here. I hope you enjoy, and don’t forget to check out the entire reveal on Home Depot’s blog linked below. When Home Depot asked me to join their Holiday Style Challenge I immediately knew that “Christmas Morning” would be my theme. I started with deciding on a color scheme for my space. Lately, I’ve been into cobalt blue and gold. My entire living room is decked out in those colors, so I thought it only made sense to make it my holiday theme.
RED METAL BOWHome Depot sent me the Martha Stewart Living 19 in. Red Metal Bow my task was to incorporate this piece into my decor. I hung the bow on my balcony window using a command hook. It’s the perfect fit for the space.
THE TREEI purchased the Martha Stewart Living 9 ft. Pre-Lit LED Pine Artificial Christmas Tree. Determining the right size tree for the height of your ceilings is very important. A good rule of thumb is to allow at least 1 ½ feet between the top of the tree and your ceilings. Also, equally as important is making sure that you account for the girth of your tree. I have to say this is the most realistic artificial tree I’ve ever owned, and the quality is impeccable! It arrived ready to assemble, and best of all, no cords! Yep, I had to double check myself too. I spent several minutes completely confused as to how to “plug in” the lights. I realized the genius design is pre-wired with connectors inside the pole. You plug in the main cord to the outlet and once you slide each pole into the other, it snaps into its connector and lights up.

RIBBON:My ribbon of choice is the Gold & Cream 21″ metallic mesh ribbon. It’s super simple to use! I start from the top and work my way to the bottom. You simply wrap the tree branches around the ribbon to hold it in place. I’m considering doing a tutorial on how I do my ribbon wrapping. I thought it would be a cool idea to hang a large wreath inside the apartment. I was excited to find the Martha Stewart Living 48 in. Battery Operated Wreath. This 4ft wreath hung perfectly over my couch and made such a huge impact on the space. My favorite thing about this wreath is that it is battery operated and has a timer setting which automatically switches from on/off every 12hrs.
POPS OF RED
I added pops of red throughout my decor. I started with these vibrant pillow cases that were custom made for me, by ElemenoPillows. The quality is impeccable and they fit my pillows perfectly. You can purchase my pillowcases here.I styled in some of my favorite childhood books and organized a few jingle bells to top off the look of my side table.
I couldn’t resist adding a few little touches of holiday magic. I added Santa’s Footprints using a stencil from an Etsy shop called, Strocketeer. I set out milk and cookies with a custom written calligraphy letter by FloMade. SELF-SERVE HOT CHOCOLATE BAR CART
